Hounslow Counselling

ian@ed1t.co.uk

The counselling model used is relational and integrative. We look at your past influences and incorporate aspects of attachment theory and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), that is how what you think affects your emotions and behaviour, but all rooted in a non-judgemental and empathic working relationship. We can also explore issues creatively if you wish. This means that you can bring your whole self to counselling with a view to exploring what is causing and maintaining difficulties in your life and so attempt to move them on.  If it is of value to you we also consider the impact of a personal faith. Of course counselling is a confidential service and this will be further explained in your introductory session.

Issues you may have concerns over that our counselling service can help with include:

  • overcoming anxiety
  • fighting depression
  • relationship difficulties
  • coping with bereavement and loss
  • growing through life's changes
  • recovering from abuse or bullying
  • building self-esteem
  • post traumatic stress
  • investigating where anger stems from
  • helping battle against eating issues and addictive behaviours
  • personal faith issues
  • loneliness
